Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND)
Bradfield School aims to meet the needs of all students and ensure that all have access to a broad and balanced curriculum.
We are a school that supports students to be fully included in all aspects of school life, to enable every student to realise their potential and achieve success.
Our SENDCo (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator) is Miss T Bullough. You can contact a member of the SEND department via our email address:

Bradfield School use the SSG (Sheffield Support Grid) to level the need and provision for students with SEND.
The SSG uses the official categories of need set out by the Special Educational Needs & Disability (SEND) Code of Practice: 0-25 years (2014) and illustrates the Teaching and Learning Strategies suitable for each. It also indicates the expected support levels to be provided, the identification and assessment tools that may be in place and which other services may be able to help. Quality First Teaching and the three waves of intervention model are referenced to provide guidance and strategies so practitioners can support pupils within secondary settings.
There are 5 levels of the SSG, ranging from some differentiation, support and awareness of SEND (Level 1) up to profound and multiple difficulties that require a different full-time provision (Level 5).
Below is a table summarising the SSG levels.
