How we meet the 16-19 study programme requirements

Our programme provides students with a structured and challenging learning programme that supports their development and progression with respect to their career plans. Our A-Level course provide academic challenge and link clearly to Higher Education. Students who have not yet achieved a GCSE grade 4 is their Maths or English are given the opportunity to re-sit. We provide 1-2 weeks of curriculum time for students to gain work experience. We also build this into study programmes where a more regular, shorter chunk of work experience is required for the career the student has in mind. The tutorial programme gives students access to a programme of assemblies and tutorials where skills and awareness are developed. The Extended Project qualification develops a range of study skills and gives students the opportunity to complete a project of their choice, under guidance from a supervisor. We help students to use the experiences and achievements gained from these opportunities to maximise progression to the next stage of education, employment or an apprenticeship. Back to Top
